F2Pool Co-Founder Wang Chun to Fly on Starship's First Human Mars Mission

Wang Chun, co-founder of F2Pool — one of the world's largest Bitcoin mining pools — has been named as a crew member on SpaceX Starship's first human interplanetary mission to Mars. The two-year voyage will take the crew beyond the Earth-Moon system, execute a Mars flyby, and return to Earth.

Before the Mars mission, Wang will join Dennis Tito and Akiko Tito aboard Starship for a week-long circumlunar flyby, passing within 200 km of the lunar surface. That earlier mission is designed to stress-test Starship's systems for the deep-space, long-duration demands of interplanetary travel.

Wang previously commanded Fram2, a private polar orbital mission aboard a SpaceX Dragon in 2025. His inclusion in the Mars crew is a notable crossover moment between the Bitcoin mining industry and the emerging commercial deep-space sector.
