The Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation is deploying Chainlink's Runtime Environment and data standards inside its Collateral AppChain — a Besu-based blockchain platform designed to tokenize assets and automate pricing, valuation, margining, and settlement around the clock. The move extends a 2024 Smart NAV pilot with JPMorgan, BNY Mellon, and Franklin Templeton into one of Wall Street's most operationally critical functions.
"By leveraging tokenization and distributed ledger technology to modernize collateral mobility, our goal is to enable 24/7, near real-time collateral management across global markets and blockchains," said Nadine Chakar, DTCC managing director and global head of digital assets. Chainlink will serve as the data and orchestration layer, connecting asset prices, eligibility checks, and settlement instructions across both traditional and on-chain markets.
