Deloitte acqui-hires Blocknative as crypto infra firm shuts down APIs and Gas Network!

Deloitte has acqui-hired blockchain infrastructure firm Blocknative, with the team set to "focus on driving Web3 innovation across Deloitte's client portfolio." Blocknative's website now carries a wind-down notice: its API and Gas Network services will remain operational only through June 19 before ceasing entirely.

Founded in 2018, Blocknative built a reputation as a specialist in real-time mempool monitoring, gas fee prediction, and transaction management — tooling that underpinned MEV auctions, private order flow, and block building for wallets, protocols, and institutions. CEO Matt Cutler acknowledged the breadth of that work in a farewell statement, noting it was "shaped by our customers, the protocol teams, wallet builders, researchers, and institutions who pushed for better answers."
